They want to attack talk radio because right wing talk radio is doing great at getting the agenda out, while left wing talk radio is going down the toilet.
Unfortunately the Amnesty bill has members of the Republican party wanting to do it too:
Comments by Republican senators on Thursday suggested that they were feeling the heat from conservative critics of the bill, who object to provisions offering legal status. The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”
Fight this now. If they want to control talk radio it will not be long before they come after bloggers.
