How Republicans Can Catch Up To Democrats On Fundraising

It seems the Democrats are raising a lot more than Republicans:

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) raised $3.5 million in August, about $1 million more than its partisan counterpart, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

The two House campaign committees, in a money race to help their party’s chances in the 2008 election, released the figures in detailed campaign reports to the Federal Election Commission filed Thursday.

...

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC)

• Total receipts, August 2007: $3.5 million
• Total receipts, year to date: $44 million
• Total disbursements, August 2007: $2.7 million
• Total disbursements, year to date: $22.6 million
• Cash-on-hand, August 31: $22.1 million
• Debts, August 31: $3.1 million

...

National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC)

• Total receipts, August 2007: $2.5 million
• Total receipts, year to date: $34.6 million
• Total disbursements, August 2007: $2.9 million
• Total disbursements, year to date: $34.4 million
• Cash-on-hand, August 31: $1.6 million
• Debts, August 31: $4 million

I would like to give a long thought out response to this, but it is too simple. If the Republicans want to catch the Democrats, all they have to do is start acting like conservatives. They lost the 2006 elections because they were spending money like it was going out of style and it became hard to tell them from the Democrats on too many issues. I for one will donate no money until I see some effort to act conservatively from the CONSERVATIVES.
