Michelle Malkin: " President Bush and empty rhetoric."

Michelle has an outstanding post up, here:

The Founding Fathers: They meant what they wrote

President Bush attacked immigration enforcement proponents for
engaging in "empty political rhetoric"--and the NYTimes was all too happy to report on it.

President Bush, meet
ArticleIV, Section IV of the U.S. Constitution:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

President Bush, meet your oath of office in accordance with Article II, Section I
of the U.S. Constitution:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the
office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability,
preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Talk about "empty rhetoric," President Bush.
